A big congratulations to all the pupils from R4, R5 & R6 who participated in Scór na bPáistí in St. Olafs GAA Club on the 5th of February. Approximately 55 pupils from Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille competed in the various categories from Set Dancing, Solo singing, Recitation, Instrumental Music, & Ballad Group. All the pupils who participated did themselves and the school very proud. Not only did they put on a great show but they came back to school with 4 trophies & a cup for the best school!

Jack Breathnach  from R4 won the solo singing competition, Conor Ó Deaghaigh, Conor Ó Coigligh, Cian Ó Cathasaigh, Dónall Mac Duinnshléibhe & Dara Mac Gabhann from R6 won the traditional music competition, Morgan Mac an Chléirigh, Alex Binley, Breandán Ó Conaill, Ciarán Mac Gabhann, Emma Ní Bhraonáin, Rachel Ní Thnúthail, Saoirse Ní Bhroin & Rachel Ní Lionnáin from R5 won the set dancing competition  and Laura Ní Chuinneagáin, Dónaill Mac Duinnshléibhe, Cian Ó Cathasaigh & Cara Ní Bhroin from R6 won the figure dancing competition.

The pupils from R4 deserve a special mention as this was their first time participating in Scór na bPáistí. They were all great and we were very proud to have them representing our school.   The winners will go on to compete in the Dublin finals  in April
