17 Aibreán 2018
Comórtas Claisceadail na Céime was held for the second year running in Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille on Tuesday the 17th of April 2018. This is a choral singing competition for fourth class. The choir is a class choir (all pupils) and not a special choir. Each choir or ‘claisceadal’ has to sing. 2 traditional Irish songs (in Irish), one slow song and one fast song. The songs are sung unaccompanied, one song in unison & the second song in unison or in two-part harmony.
A class each from St Mary’s NS, Sandyford and Church of Ireland NS, Cill Tiarnan agnd two chasses each from Our Lasdy of the Wayside NS, Cill tiarnan & Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille. It was a great competition with beautiful and expressive singing to be heard from each choir.
