The pupils of Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille had a wonderful day yesterday in the Clasach in Clontarf where they were competing in the Irish dancing feis ‘Feis Átha Cliath’. This is a figure dancing competition for primary schools and there were 6 different schools competing on the day. Our pupils competed in 4 different competitions: the Four-Hand Reel for R3/R4, the Four-Hand Reel for R5/R6, the Eight-Hand Reel for R3/R4 & the Eight-Hand Reel for R5/R6. 60 pupils in all from 4th, 5th & 6th class in Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille danced in the feis.

The pupils and the teachers were delighted and excited to return to the school after being placed 1st in three of the competitions and 2nd in the other as well as several other placing in each of the competitions. Míle buíochas to our múinteoir rince Nuala Ní Eochaidh for all the work she does with the children. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful, kind and diligent teacher working with us here in Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille.

As a príomhoide I was so proud of our pupils; their lovely manners and excellent behaviour, the beautiful Gaeilge that they spoke, the team-work. co-operation, diligence & commitment they displayed. Each and every one of them gave 100% and that was clearly in evidence when they took to the stage. Beautiful dancers and great ambassadors for our school.
