R5A used the apples that grew on the apple trees we have at the back of the school to make Apple Crumbles. They worked in pairs, measuring out all the ingredients, sifting the flour, rubbing the flour and butter into a fine crumb, peeling, coring and slicing apples. They were delighted to go home at the end of the day with their very own Apple Crumbles.
