Wales 2013

5th Class School Tour to Wales : Gaelecoil Thaobh na Coille & Ysgol Gymraeg Morswyn.

Fifth class went on a trip to Wales. We went on Friday the 7th of June. We travelled by boat from Dublin Port to Holyhead on a ferry named the Swift.

When we arrived in Holyhead the principal Mr Medwyn Roberts and 4 pupils from the school, 2 boys and 2 girls were at the ferry port to meet us and welcome us to Wales. Their names were Josh, Austin, Bethany and Chloe.

We then took a bus to Ysgol Gymraeg Morswyn which is in Holyhead itself.  The pupils put on a show for us at the school.

We played football out in their school yard. We had lots of fun and Ireland won! We went into the school again and had lunch.

We then went by bus to their county park, Parc y Morglwdd (or Breakwater County Park in English). We were put in teams with pupils from Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille and pupils from Ysgol Gymraeg Morswyn on each team and we did some orienteering.

We had some ice-cream when we got back to the school. We returned to Ireland by boat at the end of the day. We had great fun up on the deck being blown around by the strong wind.

We had a great day and are really looking forward to seeing our new friends again when they come to visit us in Dublin next week.
