David Byrne came to visit us in school today bringing with him the Sam McGuire Cup. David is a member of  Naomh Olaf’s GAA Club.

This is not the first time David has visited us in Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille – he was here two years ago when the Dublin Minors  won the All-Ireland in 2011. David captained the team that year.

Who knows maybe a few of our own budding footballers will make it onto the Dublin team in the future – I know it would be a dream come true for some of them.

On that note, we wish our boys senior football team the best of luck as the take on Gaelscoil Inse Cóir in the semi final of Cumann na mbunscols Corn Chlanna Gael this Thursday the 24th of October.
