Córfhéile 2023

Banna Ceoil na Scoile

We had a lovely night at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght last Wednesday when the bann ceoilscoile and R4A & R4B class choir took part in the Córfhéile na Scoileanna. Needless to say that all the parents and staff who were present were extremely proud of all the Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille pupils who graced the stage on the night.

Córfhéile is a non-profit making, voluntary organisation that aims to provide an opportunity for children in primary school right around Dublin to perform in a non-competitive music festival. The children that perform in the Córfhéile do so for the enjoyment of singing, for the love of playing music or the desire to participate in a play or drama. Córfhéile is about developing confidence and a feeling of self-esteem for having performed in front of a large audience.

Cór R4A & R4B faoi stiúr An Múinteoir Deirdre Uí Dhiomasaigh

Both groups; the school band and R4A & R4B’s choir excellent on the night and we couldn’t be more proud of them. They showed ‘the real Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille school spirit’ as each and every pupil put 100% into the performance.

Buíochas to the teachers who lead the band, Eavan Ní Mhuirgheasa, Sadhbh Rosenstock, Lauryn Bhreathnach, & Niamh Ní Dhúill. Thanks also to the teachers from R4A & R4B Maóilíosa Ó Dúbhthaigh and Deirdre Uí Diomasaigh for organising the class choir, with a special mention for Deirdre who prepared and conducted the choir.
